In Brief: Sociology hosts 'Careers in Aging' panel discussion April 7

The Department of Sociology at Texas State University will host a "Careers in Aging" seminar April 7 in room 275 of the University Academic Center.

The seminar will be noon-2 p.m. It is free and open for anyone interested to attend.  

The panel will discuss working in the field of aging, covering job opportunities and aging services to give students a broad overview of potential careers. Texas State's Master of Science in Dementia and Aging Studies will also be covered. Program participants include Christopher Johnson, senior lecturer in sociology and Lyn Litchke, associate professor in health and human performance, as well as representatives from the Texas Department of Disability and Aging Service, Adult Protection Services and LeadingAge Texas.
