The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University will celebrate the fall archives exhibition with a reception and performance Sept. 18 by New York-based author, artist, actor and filmmaker Peter Josyph.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Josyph is returning to Texas State to celebrate his new book, Cormac McCarthy’s House: Reading McCarthy Without Walls and Wittliff’s fall archives exhibition, Cormac McCarthy: Unveiling a Literary Legend. He will discuss the legendary Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Cormac McCarthy, and hold a question-and-answer session with a book sale and signing at the end of the event.
Josyph’s book, Cormac McCarthy’s House: Reading McCarthy Without Walls, was published in the Wittliff’s literary series with the University of Texas Press in 2013. His book is a collection of essays, interviews and dialogues based on his perspectives of McCarthy.
Josyph performed at the Wittliff Collections in 2010 as a keynote speaker for the Cormac McCarthy Society.
The Wittliff Collections are at Alkek Library on the seventh floor. For more information, please visit www.thewittliffcollections.txstate.edu or call (512) 245-2313.
