Texas State prepares for three days of spring 2014 commencement

Bill and Sally Wittliff will be presented with honorary doctoral degrees during one of seven commencement ceremonies to be held May 8-10 at Texas State University.
All commencement ceremonies will be held in Strahan Coliseum.
The Wittliff's degrees, Doctor of Letters, honoris causa, will be awarded during the 10 a.m. commencement ceremony Saturday, May 10. Carter Smith will offer remarks on behalf of the Wittliffs. Degree candidates from the College of Liberal Arts and the Graduate College will attend that ceremony.
Degree candidates from the College of Fine Arts and Communication and the Graduate College will attend the ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 8.
Degree candidates from the College of Applied Arts and the Graduate College will attend the ceremony to be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 8.
Degree candidates from the McCoy College of Business Administration and the Graduate College will attend the ceremony to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 8.
Degree candidates from the College of Education (group 1), University College and Graduate College will attend the ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 9.
Degree candidates from the College of Science and Engineering, College of Education (group 2) and the Graduate College will attend the ceremony to be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 9.
Degree candidates from the College of Liberal Arts (group 1) and Graduate College will attend the ceremony to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10.
Degree candidates from the College of Health Professions, College of Liberal Arts (group 2) and the Graduate College will attend the ceremony to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10.
There are approximately 4,600 candidates for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees at Texas State this spring.
While there is no substitute for attending a commencement ceremony in person, Texas State will stream the ceremonies live over the internet for friends and family members who are unable to attend. That live stream is available on the Texas State commencement web page at www.txstate.edu/commencement/.
