Rossmo to lecture on 'Camm Triple Murder: Logic Versus Rhetoric'

Kim Rossmo, University Endowed Chair in Criminology and the Director of the Center for Geospatial Intelligence and Investigation in the School of Criminal Justice at Texas State University, will present a lecture, "The Camm Triple Murder Case: Logic versus Rhetoric," 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10.

The event will be held in room 105-106 of the Alkek Library on campus. Rossmo's lecture is free and open to the public.

Rossmo’s presentation will discuss the contradictory evidence in investigation and subsequent trials of former Indiana state trooper David Ray Camm in the murder of his wife and two children in 2000, and the respective roles of logic and rhetoric in understanding what really happened.

Rossmo has researched and published in the areas of criminal investigations, the geography of crime, policing and offender profiling. Rossmo was formerly a detective inspector with the Vancouver Police Department in Canada and is currently a member of the IACP Advisory Committee for Police Investigative Operations. His books include Geographic Profiling and Criminal Investigative Failures.
