Volunteer Energy Thought Summit passes available for students

Volunteer event passes for the Energy Thought Summit, to be held March 24-25 in Austin, are available for Texas State University students.
The Energy Thought Summit will be held at the Paramount and Stateside Theaters, and will bring many of the world’s thought leaders together for two days to debate the state and future of energy. Texas State is one of the event sponsors, and Stan McClellan, director of the Ingram School of Engineering, will participate in the M2M panel session on Tuesday morning, March 25.
Students can register as volunteers can register online at www.regonline.co.uk?eventID=1376648&rTypeID=371732. Volunteers will be put in contact with event managers who will provide direction for assisting speakers on panels, serving as ushers and badge inspectors. Volunteers will receive full event passes. In addition to McClellan, other speakers include Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Computers; George Arnold, national coordinator, Smart Grid Interoperability-NIST; Jon Wellinghof, chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; John Hewa, CEO of Pedernales Electric; John Scott, chief of the Energy Conversion Branch at NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center; and Jim Marston, vice president, U.S. Climate and Energy, and founding director of the Texas office of Environmental Defense Fund.
