Cole Porter's musical romp, 'Anything Goes,' opens at Texas State

Texas State University’s Department of Theater and Dance will present the musical Anything Goes, featuring the music of Cole Porter, April 8-15 at 7:30 p.m. and April 13 at 2 p.m.
The performance will be held in the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre in the Texas State Performing Arts Center on campus.
Directed by Kaitlin Hopkins, Anything Goes features a new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman, choreography by Cassie Abate and musical direction by Greg Bolin. Set aboard an ocean liner, this delightful romantic comedy features charming characters and high energy dance numbers. Porter's magical score boasts classics such as "It's De-Lovely," "Anything Goes," "You’re The Top" and "I Get A Kick Out Of You."
Tickets are $15-18 for general admission and $8 for students with a valid Texas State ID. Tickets for a dress rehearsal performance at 7:30 p.m. April 7--prior to the official opening April 8--are available for $5. Special Event Parking for all fine arts events occurring in the Theatre Center and Performing Arts Center is now only available in the Edward Gary Street Garage, located on the corner of University Drive and Edward Gary Street for a flat fee of $5 per event. The garage attendant will only be accepting cash. Credit/debit card transactions will not be accepted for special event parking.
