Oxford authors, educators to present series of communication lectures

Peter Collett and Jill Collett will present a series of lectures April 7-8 at Texas State University, sponsored by the Department of Communication Studies.
Peter Collett's lecture, “Understanding Nonverbal Communication: What Your Tells Are Telling You” will be presented 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, Centennial Hall room G02 and in the Jack Cates room on the third floor of Old Main, respectively.
Jill Collett will present her lecture, “Coaching: Choosing Your Own Way,” 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 7 in Centennial Hall room G02 and 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, also in Centennial Hall room G02.
All events are free and open to the public.
"These two outstanding, internationally-recognized speakers and educators are not to be missed," said Steven Beebe, chair of the Texas State Department of Communication Studies.
Peter Collett is an internationally known author, lecturer, broadcaster and former Oxford University faculty member with extensive expertise in nonverbal communication. He has authored several books including the best selling The Book of Tells as well as worked closely with well-known anthropologist Desmond Morris.
Jill Collett is an educator and widely-recognized consultant, human resources trainer and executive coach in the United Kingdom. She currently teaches at Headington School, Oxford. Both Colletts earned their doctorates from the University of Oxford and are based in Oxford, England.
