Texas State University will observe Graduate Student Appreciation Week April 7-13.
Sponsored by the National Association of Graduate and Professional Students, the event is designed to recognize the contributions, impact and value of graduate and professional students, and to raise awareness of the role of graduate and professional students within America’s colleges and universities.
Texas State has a vibrant Graduate College offering nearly 100 master's and doctoral programs with close to 4,000 students enrolled. Workshops, socials, wellness classes and recreational opportunities will be sponsored during the week by various departments and offices across the campus.
The City of San Marcos is joining the celebration, as Mayor Daniel Guerrero has proclaimed the week of April 7 to be Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week. Local businesses will be offering discounts and providing door prizes that will be given away at many of the campus events.
