Transportation Services at Texas State University was informed April 2 of emergency safety concerns on North LBJ due to construction on North LBJ between Sessom and Holland. The City of San Marcos requested that the Route 11–Campus Loop and Route 24–LBJ be rerouted due to engineering concerns about the roadway pavement.
The Texas State Bobcat Shuttle immediately implemented the Emergency Detour Plan, and rerouted all shuttles. At no point were students, staff or faculty exposed to unsafe roadway conditions while riding the Bobcat Shuttle.
Per the City’s request, the shuttles will remain on detour for an estimated 2 to 3 weeks. 24–LBJ will service all bus stops on the route. 11–Campus Loop will service all stops except Holland@LBJ. The Holland@LBJ stop will be serviced by 24–LBJ only.
For more information about the detour, please see the Bobcat Shuttle website at www.shuttle.txstate.edu. Individuals can also follow updates on Facebook or Twitter.
