Texas State hosts 'Southwest Through Images' documentary festival

“The Southwest Through Images,” a three-day documentary festival celebrating the experiences and culture of the Southwest region of Texas, will be held Oct. 3, 10 and 24 at Texas State University.
The event is free and open to the public.
Student directors/producers Sergio Carvajal and Vanessa Ramos will present their films in Flowers Hall room 230 at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3. The last two days of the festival will be held Oct. 10 and 24 in LBJ 3.14.
Attendees will experience projects made by outstanding students about the uniqueness of Southwest Texas, said Olga Mayoral Wilson, public relations director for the Center for the Study of Latino Media and Markets.
