The Office of Emergency Management of the Texas State University Police Department will conduct emergency notification tests at noon on Tuesday, April 9.
An emergency announcement will be sent out using various systems, such as the university webpage, text messages and other devices. This is only a test and no action needs to be taken by students, faculty and staff.
The purpose of the test is to assess how well the system can alert the university community about dangers to life or property, severe weather or any other type of emergency situation.
