The Mathworks Junior Summer Math Camp (JSMC) will be held at Texas State University's Round Rock campus for the first time this coming June.
The camp will offer levels 1-3 of math, best suited for students in grades 3-6, and will enroll up to 20 students per level. This program has engaged close to 200 young students in mathematical discovery each summer for the past 17 years. The Orleans-Hanna Algebra Prognosis has discovered participation in this program is correlated with statistically higher gains in algebra readiness.
Students are encouraged to apply online now at www.txstate.edu/mathworks/applications/JSMC-application/jsmcapplicationonline_2013_Austin.html as space is limited. Tuition is $345 and includes all camp materials, a camp t-shirt and a daily snack.
The Texas State University Round Rock campus is located off of Exit 256 on I-35 northbound. For more information contact the Mathworks office at (512) 245-3439 or at mathworks@txstate.edu.
