Bobcat Build, a one-day, student-led community service project at Texas State University, is seeking job sites for the coming 2014 event.

The 12th annual Bobcat Build will be held March 29, and the Bobcat Build Planning Committee invites suggestions for job sites from the San Marcos area.

The work completed at job sites includes painting residential homes, yard work, outside beautification and working with non-profit organizations, just to name a few. The goal this year is to obtain more than 200 jobsites with 4,000 volunteers. Anyone interested in submitting a job site should apply on the Bobcat Build web page at www.bobcatbuild.txstate.edu or via a paper application available at the San Marcos Library. The deadline for jobsite requests is Friday, Feb. 14. Bobcat Build considers all applicants that are residential, educational and non-profit (churches, fire stations, police stations, food banks, etc.). Commercial job sites are not accepted.

Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of Bobcat Build. Student organizations and anyone who is a student or employee at Texas State are invited to take part in this great day of service.
