The Graduate College at Texas State University-San Marcos will host the annual meeting of the Association of Texas Graduate Schools (ATGS) Sept. Sept. 20-21.
“ATGS is an excellent forum for leaders in graduate education from across the state to gather and discuss the current status and future of graduate education,” said Mike Willoughby, dean of the Graduate College and president of ATGS.
Texas State President Denise Trauth will deliver the opening remarks to the association. Deputy Commissioner David Gardner and Assistant Commissioner of the Texas Higher Education Board MacGregor Stephenson will also participate in the annual meeting.
This year’s program includes topics such as graduate program review, degree completion, distance education and mentoring.
ATGS seeks to advance graduate study in the state of Texas.
