Blood Center of Central Texas to hold drive at J.C. Kellam

The Blood Center of Central Texas will host a blood drive from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on October 25 at the J.C. Kellam Building Room 1100 on the Texas State University-San Marcos campus. The blood drive is open to students and the public.

An appointment is needed in order to donate blood. Appointments can be made online at www.inyourhands.org using the sponsor code, TexasState. A confirmation email will be sent once the appointment is made. A photo ID is also necessary the day of the blood drive.

Donators must meet certain requirements in order to donate: must be at least 17 years old, must weigh 115 lbs. to donate whole blood and 110 lbs. to donate platelets and must be in good health. Donators also need to eat a full meal before donating.
