Texas State University will host a town hall meeting at the Round Rock Campus Nov. 13 to discuss plans for the Health Professions program.

The meeting will be 4:30-5:30 p.m. in room 114 of the St. David's School of Nursing. Texas State Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Gene Bourgeois and Dean of the College of Health Professions Ruth Welborn will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the university's future plans for the Round Rock Campus.

The discussion is open to the public, and will include the proposed 87,000-square foot Health Professions building as well as plans to relocate the entire College of Health Professions to Round Rock.

The Round Rock Campus formally opened Aug. 2005 with the 125,000-square-foot Avery Building. The state-of-the-art, 77,740-square-foot Nursing Building opened in 2010, with St. David’s School of Nursing admitted the first class of junior-level nursing majors that fall. The campus currently offers eight bachelor’s degrees and 11 master’s degrees in a wide range of majors for junior- and senior-level undergraduates and graduate students.
