Texas State University-San Marcos Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” at Theatre Center on campus Feb. 7-12.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7-11, with a 2 p.m. matinee Feb. 12.
Written by award-winning actor, writer, comedian and musician Steve Martin, “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” brings together a youthful Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in 1904 shortly before either is to become famous. As they debate art and science, they are soon interrupted by a time-traveling stranger who adds his own “twist” to the discussion. Directed by Aaron Johnson, this inventive, witty comedy was the first full-length play by Steve Martin.
