Texas State University-San Marcos Association of Information Technology Professionals Student Chapter will host the 2012 AITP National Collegiate Conference along with St. Mary’s University March 29-April 1.
The conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio, bringing together numerous student chapters and professionals from all over the country to participate in the annual event. Some sponsors and exhibitor partners for the event include USAA, IBM, Microsoft and State Farm.
The event gives students the opportunity to compete in a range of national technology contests in an effort to showcase their skills and impress sponsor and exhibitor partners in areas such as office solutions, PC troubleshooting, systems analysis and design, database design, Java developer and mobile application development. In the past, placing nationally in one of the contests has meant a virtually guaranteed job offer.
