Philosophy Dialogue Series examines concept of ‘Open Society’

The Philosophy Dialogue Series at Texas State University-San Marcos will focus on the open society as its discussion theme for the week of Oct. 3-7. All events are held in room 132 of the Psychology Building on campus unless otherwise noted. Events are free and open to the public. Presentations and discussions for the week will cover the following issues:

Monday, Oct. 3, 2 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 5, 11 a.m.
To Be or Not To Be (Tolerant): Meta-ethics and Paradox in Popper’s “The Open Society and Its Enemies”

Patriotism, Community and Dissent
