The Texas State University-San Marcos Department of Theatre and Dance presents the tragicomedy, Almost, Maine, Oct. 27-29 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. in the PSH Foundation Studio Theatre in the Texas State Theatre Center.
Written by John Cariani and directed by Crystal Franz, Almost, Maine follows 19 characters, all living in the imaginary town of Almost, Maine. The play strings together a series of vignettes to tell the story of a rural, mythical town, where ordinary people undergo unexpected and extraordinary events.
“Each vignette tells, in a very clever and surprising way, a mini-story about people trying to figure out how to deal with love and everything love brings,” said Crystal Franz, director of the play. “It's a lighthearted piece that really has something for everyone.”
Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 for students with a valid Texas State ID. For more information, please call (512) 245-2147.
