A gift to Texas Mathworks at Texas State University-San Marcos from the Siemens Foundation will support core programs that impact middle and high school students in advanced mathematics.
The $25,000 donation will go to the “Legacy Campaign” endowment to establish permanent support for Mathworks programs.
"We are honored to once again receive the support of the Siemens Foundation,” said Max Warshauer, director of Mathworks and Regents Professor of mathematics. “This donation to the Mathworks Legacy Campaign will help establish and sustain our efforts in the years ahead. The Siemens Foundation has been a critical partner to Mathworks, providing opportunities to young students to do high-level mathematics.”
“Students in the Mathworks program are among the top performers in mathematics in the U.S. and we are proud to support them as they strive for excellence,” said Jeniffer Harper-Taylor, president of the Siemens Foundation. “Mathworks is an exceptional program, fostering student achievement in high-level mathematics. By supporting students who excel in this field, the Siemens Foundation is investing in the next generation of mathematicians and innovators.”
