Texas State battles for first place in ‘Super Connector’ online voting

Hsiau stars in his own public service announcement for Connect a Million Minds (CAMM), Time Warner Cable’s five-year, $100 million philanthropic initiative to inspire kids to pursue education and careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). TWC has already donated $5,000 to Texas State’s Mathworks in recognition of Hsiau’s finalist status in the competition.

“We’re very excited to name Andrew Hsiau as the official Time Warner Cable Super Connector from Central Texas,” said Vickie Carpenter, communications manager for Time Warner Cable. “Customers like Andrew are introducing young people to STEM experiences that are inspiring them to become the problem solvers of tomorrow. We are happy to recognize this commitment with a grant Texas State University Mathworks, a valuable resource in our community.”

Hsiau is 26-year-old program specialist with Mathworks and is responsible for various roles including grant writing, alumni communications, and Mathworks event planning.
