Hispanic Policy Network hosts Dual Language Symposium

The Hispanic Policy Network at Texas State University-San Marcos will host a Dual Language Symposium April 6.
The event will be held in room 3-14.1 of the LBJ Student Center on campus beginning at 10 a.m. There will be a community reception from 5-7 p.m. at the Embassy Suites.
The symposium will explore the power of dual language education in Texas.
Scheduled speakers include Joey Cardenas, LULAC state director; Angela Valenzuela, Center for Mexican American Studies, University of Texas; Frederico Subveri, Center for the Study of Latino Media and Markets, Texas State; Ramiro Cavazos, president and CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and Perry Moore, Texas State provost.
