Texas State hosts Broadway Theatre Project auditions

The Broadway Theatre Project will hold auditions at Texas State University-San Marcos Jan. 23 at the Theatre Center on campus.

The auditions begin at noon are open to any Central Texas high school or college students interested in a career in musical theatre. The Theatre Center is located at 403 Moon Street in San Marcos.

"I would highly recommend this wonderful program, run entirely Broadway professionals," said Kaitlin Hopkins, head of musical theatre at Texas State. "BTP is a amazing organization with so much to offer young artists."

Students should arrive at least half an hour before the audition begins for registration, and bring a completed application with them. Applications may be downloaded at www.broadwaytheatreproject.com/home/2010_application.pdf.
