The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University-San Marcos will present the family-friendly holiday fable A Monster Carol Dec. 3-5.
Written and directed by Dwight Markus, A Monster Carol performances will run at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 4-5 on the main stage of the Theatre Center on Campus.
A Monster Carol is set in Vincent’s House of Wax, home of scary monsters. Vincent’s is no ordinary museum of wax figures, though, for when the doors are locked the wax statues come to life and experience their own twisted version of the Dickens holiday classic. In this family comedy for the holidays, the audience will come to find out what funny things happen when Christmas mixes with Halloween.
Following the performances, the cast will be available to meet the audience for a "Monster Picture Party" onstage.
Admission is $5 for the general public. For additional information, contact (512) 245-2147.
