Chemical spill closes some campus streets, parking lots

The San Marcos Fire Department and a hazardous materials team are on the scene in the area of Student Center Drive and Matthews Street addressing a chemical spill that occurred this morning, Sept. 16.

Some streets, parking garages and lots in the area have been closed, but are being reopened as the situation is being corrected. All streets and garages are expected to be opened by 9:30 a.m.
