Texas State hosting NAIGC Gymnastics Nationals

The Texas State University-San Marcos Gymnastics Club will host the 2010 National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs (NAIGC) national meet April 8-10 in the newly expanded Student Recreation Center.
Approximately 60 teams and 700 gymnasts from colleges throughout the nation will compete during the event.
“Campus Recreation, along with the entire university, is honored to host such a prestigious event in our newly expanded recreation center,” said Texas State Sport Clubs Director Stephanie Thompson.
Qualifiers run April 8-9, and finals will be held April 10. The Texas State Gymnastics Club women’s qualifying will take place 7 p.m. April 8, and the men’s qualifying at 7 p.m. April 9.
Texas State graduate student and NAIGC director Ryan Maskell said notable teams to watch included James Madison, Miami, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Texas.
Both the qualifying rounds and finals are free and open to the public.
