As part of the upcoming launch of the Texas State University-San Marcos home page on YouTube, the Office of University Marketing is sponsoring the Bobcat Tube Video Contest. Applicant filmmakers/videographers are asked to submit a video of three minutes or less on the theme “A Slice of My Life at Texas State.”

The top three finishers’ productions will be posted on the official Texas State YouTube page and be shown at the Bobcat Tube Film Festival in early December where “The Golden Bobcat” award will be presented to the top video entered in the contest. The top three will also receive the following prizes: a video camera for first place, an iTouch for second and an iPod Shuffle for third.

Any style video is eligible, including animation, and the contest is open to faculty, staff and students.

The deadline for entries is midnight on Nov. 22.

Official rules and guidelines, as well as submission guidelines, are available at the contest home page go.txstate.edu/VideoContest.
