Aquarena announces holiday hours

Aquarena Center at Texas State University-San Marcos has announced its holiday operations schedule.

Aquarena will be closed Dec. 15-19, open Dec. 20-21 (Saturday and Sunday), closed Dec. 22-25, and open from Friday, Dec. 26 through New Year’s Day, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily.

Holiday travelers are invited to make plans that include stopping in at Aquarena Center, just off I-35 between the Austin-San Antonio corridor. Visitors can stretch their legs, enjoy the scenery and get a little exercise while soaking up the peaceful, stress-free environment of the rich historical site. The famed glass bottom boat tour, native species aquarium and the floating wetlands boardwalk will all be in operation along with the exhibit gallery in the Texas Rivers Center, located in the former Aquarena resort hotel.
