Fulbright lecture addresses North Africa, Middle East democratization

His free public lecture, "Challenges of Democratization in North Africa and the Middle East" is Nov. 19. Abdi will speak at Taylor Murphy Hall in room 101 at 6:30 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Abdi is a professor of political science from Mohamed V University. He is currently a scholar-in-residence at Radford University in Radford, Va. During his visit, Abdi will also lecture to undergraduate students and faculty from the history department.
The Texas State department of history, along with the Provost’s office, the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars and the Bilateral U.S. Arab-Chamber of Commerce are responsible for his visit as part of the Fulbright Occasional Lecturer program.
