Texas State hosts 11th Annual Teachers Conference

Texas State University-San Marcos will host the 11th Annual Teachers Conference Saturday, Sept. 20.
Sheridan Blau, an award-winning educator and author of The Literature Workshop: Teaching Texts and Their Readers, will serve as the conference keynote speaker. Blau is a former president of the National Council of Teachers of English and a professor at Teachers College-New York.
Conference sessions will run 8 a.m.-11 a.m. in the Alkek Library Teaching Theater and 1 p.m.-4 p.m. in the Education Building on the Texas State campus.
Preregistration is $15 for Texas State students and $20 for all others. Admission at the door will be $25.
