Texas State stages tragic ‘Mute Point’ at Austin’s Blue Theatre

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Texas State University-San Marcos, in conjunction with the Search Party, presents Michael Pape’s gripping play Mute Point, or Why Mice Live in Holes Sept. 25-27.

Directed by Charles Ney, performances will be 7:30 p.m. each night at the Blue Theatre in Austin, located at 916 Springdale Road two miles east of Interstate 35.

During a spring thunderstorm an obsessed arrowhead collector finds a mysterious artifact in the Texas Hill Country. What he uncovers is much more than he bargained for and threatens to unravel everything he holds dear. Mute Point, or Why Mice Live in Holes is a tragedy about our connection to the land and to each other.
