Encore Series presents one-man show ‘Meet Mark Twain’

The Department of Fine Arts and Communication at Texas State University-San Marcos presents Donald King Cowan’s acclaimed one-man show Meet Mark Twain at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 18 in the LBJ Student Center Teaching Theatre on campus.
The show is part of the College of Fine Arts and Communication Encore Series’ new Solo Artist Series.
Close attention to detail has been taken to move the audience back in time to 1905. Audience members can expect to be transported to the era of Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher, small towns, Sunday school, picnics and white-washed fences.
The show is accompanied with a soundtrack featuring the music of John Philip Sousa. Commentary includes topics such as “Concerning Congress,” “Advice to Youth” and “Smoking and Other Bad Habits.”
