ROUND ROCK – The Common Experience program at Texas State University-San Marcos will host a screening of the film, “Texas the State of Water--Finding a Balance,” at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 22 in the Round Rock Higher Education Center’s Avery Theatre. A discussion led by representatives of the Lower Colorado River Authority will follow the screening, which is free and open to the public.

Produced by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, “Texas the State of Water--Finding a Balance” is an in-depth, hour-long documentary which explores how the demand for water will grow dramatically in years to come, and weighs the impact that growth will have on the state. The documentary dramatically shows how the steps Texas takes--or does not take--will impact the state and its people, wildlife and economic vitality for future generations.
