Business fraternity earns Chapter of Excellence award

Texas State Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity members recently attended the 2007 Biennial Convention in Washington, D.C., where they received the Chapter of Excellence award.
The national Alpha Kappa Psi chapter recognized the Texas State chapter for its professional, fraternity and philanthropic activities during the 2006-2007 academic year. Nearly 800 guests from universities throughout the nation attended the convention to celebrate the fraternity’s accomplishments.
In addition to the Chapter of Excellence award, the Texas State AKPsi chapter received the Travel Award for traveling the most miles to the convention, as well as the Circle of Excellence award for increasing its membership by 25 percent over the previous year.
Alpha Kappa Psi is a professional business fraternity, which welcomes all majors from across the campus. Geared toward developing future business leaders, the fraternity emphasizes brotherhood, integrity, experience and education.
