Joann Cole Mitte Faculty Grant for Excellence to promote research

Texas State University-San Marcos and the Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation have announced the creation of the Joann Cole Mitte Faculty Grant for Excellence, an award of $25,000 which will be given annually to a Texas State faculty member to promote excellence in scholarship and research.
The award, which can be used for a variety of research needs, will significantly enhance the research environment of the university and contribute to the overall reputation of the university. All full-time associate and full professors may compete for the award.
“This is another fine example of the Mitte Foundation’s unwavering commitment to higher education,” said Texas State Provost Perry Moore. “This annual award will help Texas State move closer to the goal of becoming a top-flight research institution.”
