Fiesta de Cien Años culminates Hispanic Heritage Month

SAN MARCOS —Hispanic Heritage Month at Texas State University-San Marcos comes to an end with the Fiesta de Cien Anos celebration on Oct. 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the LBJ Student Center ballroom.
The Fiesta de Cien Años is the grand finale of one month of events that highlight 100 years of Latino presence at Texas State. In a contribution to the legacy for future Latino students, the Cien Años celebration will feature recognition of the 2006 Hispanic Policy Network Scholarship recipients. Entertainment by university dancers and musicians and a silent auction to raise funds for Latino scholarships will be a part of the night’s events.
