McCoy College hosting Perryman Economic Outlook Luncheon
SAN MARCOS—The McCoy College of Business Administration along with the Department of Finance and Economics at Texas State University-San Marcos is hosting the Perryman Economic Outlook Luncheon noon-2 p.m. on Dec. 14.
The luncheon will be held in the LBJ Student Center Ballroom on campus. Sponsors of the event are the Texas State Small Business Development Center and the San Marcos Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Ray M. Perryman, a recent nominee for the Nobel Prize in Economics, is the founder and president of the Perryman Group, an economic and financial analysis firm headquartered in Waco. He is widely regarded as one of the world’s most influential and innovative economists. His thousands of academic and trade articles and presentations span a wide variety of topics, gaining him international respect and acclaim. Perryman also publishes a subscription forecasting service, two monthly newsletters, writes a syndicated newspaper column, hosts a daily radio commentary and appears regularly on National Public Radio. For this conference his emphasis will be on making an economic forecast for the San Marcos and San Antonio areas.
