Aries Brass Quintet highlights Hill Country Artist Series

SAN MARCOS —The Texas State University-San Marcos School of Music presents the Aries Brass Quintet as part of the Hill Country Artist Series at 8 p.m. Nov. 13.

The Aries Brass Quintet will perform at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center in Kyle. Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 for students and senior citizens over 65.

Founded in 1976, the Aries Brass Quintet is the recital quintet of the Denver Brass, covering a range of music from jazz and contemporary to Renaissance and Baroque. Internationally recognized for its elegant approach to chamber music, the ensemble has toured the United States, Western Europe and Russia as well as Central and South America. Aries has enjoyed a 20-year residency with the prestigious St. John’s Cathedral chamber music series in Denver and is also in residence at the University of Denver Lamont School of Music.
