Parker, Jones sworn in to Associated Student Government offices
SAN MARCOS - Jerry Parker and Christopher Jones, II, were sworn in as Associated Student Government officers for 2004-05 by President Denise Trauth at Texas State University-San Marcos June 15.
Parker, 22, a political science and history double major from Ellington, Conn., was elected ASG President by the Texas State student body in March elections.
"It feels great being able to serve the 27,000 students of Texas State. I have always given my best to this university, and I am thankful to the students for allowing me the opportunity to represent them," Parker said. "Now that Chris and I have been sworn in, we are ready to go, and are looking forward to the 2004-2005 academic year."
Jones, 21, a public administration major from Seminole, was elected vice president, and expressed enthusiasm for his upcoming service.

"Being sworn in as student body vice president allowed me to better realize the great responsibility being placed on my shoulders. I look forward to serving the students of Texas State," Jones said. "Texas State University is the best university in the state of Texas and the students expect nothing less of my service. Long live Texas State."
