Summer II Camps Cancelled or Held Remotely

Texas State University News Service | June 5, 2020

To protect the health and safety of the Texas State University community, academic and athletics summer camps originally scheduled during Summer Session II (July 6-August 6) will be cancelled or held remotely (This is a follow-up to, and continuation of, our announcement sent April 8, 2020, which cancelled camps for Summer I Session).

More information on the summer camps that will be held remotely is available on the 2020 Summer Camps webpage.

When Texas State resumes in-person instruction for Summer II beginning July 6, it will be done following strict physical distancing protocols and other safety precautions that can be controlled in classroom, dining, gathering and residential spaces. The same level of environmental control and physical distancing would not be possible in the summer camps, due to the nature of their activities and participants. Most of the summer camps serve children and adolescents.

The university recognizes the impact of the summer camp cancellations on families and student workers, but is committed to maintaining the health and safety of the community.
