Willow Hall at Texas State University’s Round Rock Campus

Willow Hall is the new home for the College of Health Professions’ departments of Communication Disorders, Physical Therapy and Respiratory Care. The new building is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, research labs, and specialty clinics that will serve patients from the community.

  • Cost: $67.5 million ($48.6 million Tuition Revenue Bonds authorized by the Texas Legislature; $8.3 million Texas State University System Revenue Bonds; $5 million gift from St. David's Foundation; and $5 million Texas Research Incentive Program matching funds)
  • Size: 107,708 square feet
  • Construction began: September 2016
  • First classes: June 2018
  • Facilities: Clinical practice laboratories (Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, Sleep Center and Physical Therapy Clinic), simulation labs, seminar rooms, research suite, faculty and administrative space
  • Sustainability: Built with the goal of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver-level certification
  • Comfort: Lighting and heating/air conditioning systems designed for individual control; Light wells along the walls that form the courtyard unify the lower level with the rest of the building and provide ample natural light.
  • Outdoors: Native landscaping and shaded seating areas
  • Entrances: Courtyard to the west, from Bobcat Way to the east

College of Health Professions By the Numbers:

  • 98 percent of graduates from the College of Health Professions find jobs in their chosen fields within six months
  • 101 acres on the Round Rock Campus which provide room for future expansion
  • 100 percent pass rates for licensure and registry exams in CLS, CDIS, Nursing, PT, RC and RTT
  • 4,180 students have graduated in the past 12 years
