Author Corban Addison to give lecture, signing at Wittliff Collections

Author Corban Addison will hold a lecture and book signing at Texas State University’s Wittliff Collections on Thursday, November 3.

The event will be at 3:30 p.m. on the seventh floor of the Alkek Library. It is free and open to the public.

Corban is the author of the novels A Walk Across the Sun, The Garden of Burning Sand and The Tears of Dark Water. As an attorney and activist, he supports numerous humanitarian causes, including the abolition of modern slavery, ending gender-based violence and the eradication of HIV/AIDS. His lecture will focus on addressing international human rights through fiction in order to create social change.

The event is sponsored by Texas State’s School of Social Work and FACES (Foster Care Alumni Creating Educational Success).
