The new issue of Hillviews is now available in print and digital format. The app can be downloaded on smart phones, tablets or e-readers.

The digital issue is available for free at www.ua.txstate.edu/newsroom/hillviews.html.

The focus of the issue – Looking Ahead – examines several new degrees coming to the university, new faces in administration, technology that makes transportation easier, and plans for new buildings that will change the look of campus.

Also inside Hillviews, readers can meet Coach Ron Antoine, who joined Bobcats football this year as running backs and tight ends coach. If his last name is familiar that’s because his wife, Zanarae Antoine, is going into her sixth season as the head coach of women’s basketball.  For the Antoines who have been married for 16 years, working at the same university is a dream come true.

The Fab Five are five professors in the Department of History who were all granted promotion and tenure in 2016. All five are nationally recognized for their writing, research, and scholarship.

Alumni profiles include Shawn Reagan (B.A. ’10), who returned from the Peace Corp to take a job in Houston helping students realize their dream of college. Also, Ragan and Christi Bond who met at Texas State and became partners in life – and now they are partners in business with their Independence Coffee Co. in Brenham.

Hillviews, published three times a year, is distributed to members of the Alumni Association and the Family Association. The digital edition ― with additional content ― is available for free to everyone.
