Whether it’s rafting on the San Marcos River with the Aquatic Science Adventure Camp or creating masterpieces at Kids Kollege of Art, dozens of camps hosted at Texas State University will be showcased during the second annual Summer Camp Fair on March 27 from 2:30 to 6 p.m. under the Undergraduate Academic Center arch.

The fair will educate local families about summer programs offered at Texas State and other local organizations to keep kids of all ages engaged and active this summer.  These programs can help families avoid the “summer learning lag,” according to organizers.

The interactive event also features door prizes, refreshments, live music, demonstrations and an appearance by Boko and the Texas State Spirit Team.

Camp representatives will be on hand to answer questions and offer more information. Attendees will learn about the variety of camps focusing on fine arts, athletics, advanced academics and more.

Free parking will be available at the LBJ Student Center Garage off Comanche Street (follow the signs).  To see a full list of the summer camps offered, visit www.txstate.edu/community or contact Community Relations at (512) 245-9645.
