Texas State announces faculty promotions, tenure for 2015

Texas State University has promoted 44 faculty members and approved tenure for 34.

The measures will take effect on Sept. 1 and were approved by the Texas State University System Board of Regents during its regular meeting held May 21-22 in Huntsville on the Sam Houston State University campus.

Promoted from associate professor to professor (with academic department in parentheses) were John P. Blair (criminal justice), Carrie J. Boden-McGill (occupational, workforce and leadership studies), J. Nathan Bond (curriculum and instruction), Martin Burtscher (computer science), Janet B. Butler (accounting), Joseph L. Etherton (psychology), Rubén Garza (curriculum and instruction), Jason J. Kwak (music), S. Gregory Marshall (respiratory care), Michelle E. Nance (theatre and dance), Paul B. Stewart, III (counseling, leadership, adult education and school psychology).
