Multi award-winning writer Kenneth Womack will visit the Wittliff Collections at Texas State University for a presentation and book signing of The Beatles Encyclopedia: Everything Fab Four on Nov. 3 at 3:30 p.m.

This event is free and open to the public.

Womack’s interactive presentation, "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!: Evolving Artistry of the Beatles," traces the band’s songwriting practices, recording artistry and musicianship from their early, primitive recordings through Abbey Road.

Womack will hold a question and answer session and a book sale at the event.  Beatles scholar, Katie Kapurch, assistant professor in Texas State’s English department, hosts this event.

His latest Beatles-related work, The Beatles Encyclopedia: Everything Fab Four, was published in celebration of this year’s 50th anniversary of the band’s legendary appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Womack is the author of three award-winning novels: John Doe No. 2 and the Dreamland Motel, The Restaurant at the End of the World and Playing the Angel.  He is also the author or editor of numerous books, including Long and Winding Roads: the Evolving Artistry of the Beatles and the Cambridge Companion to the Beatles, which was named as the Independent’s “Music Book of the Year.”

Kenneth Womack is professor of English and senior associate dean for academic affairs at Penn State University’s Altoona College.

The Wittliff Collections, Therese Kayser Lindsey Literary Series and the Texas State Department of English sponsor this event.
