The Center for P-16 Initiatives at Texas State University will host the 2nd annual Men’s Forum 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, May 9, for boys and young men in Central Texas who are in need of positive male-to-male mentorship.

This year’s forum will be themed, “The Peacekeepers,” aiming to form the young men of Central Texas into makers and keepers of peace in their schools, homes and society.

“The Peacekeepers” aims to bring boys and men together in a way that creates trust, respect, intimacy, good will, belonging, generosity, mutuality and reciprocity. The forum on Friday will include informative discussions on sexual harassment/assault response and prevention by Texas State ROTC Sgt. Tomas Sanchez, and red flags in relationships by the Texas State Men Against Violence group.
