The Graduate College at Texas State University will host the Fifth Annual International Conference for Graduate Student Research Nov. 6-7 in the LBJ Student Center on campus.

The Nov. 7 keynote address at the awards luncheon will be presented by Vijay Ganju, a consultant with Mental Health Systems of Austin. Ganju will speak on "Mental Health: Everybody's Concern, Everybody's Business" at 12:30 p.m. in the LBJ Student Center Ballroom.

The conference is an opportunity for graduate students from various fields to present their original research. Students will receive feedback on their presentations from experienced faculty. Master’s and doctoral students from all disciplines are encouraged to participate. The conference is free and open to all graduate students currently enrolled in colleges and universities at Texas State and beyond. Although presentations are limited to graduate students, interested undergraduate students currently enrolled in colleges and universities are also invited to attend.

Graduate students interested in presenting research papers must submit an abstract by Tuesday, Oct. 1. Students may attend the conference even if they do not submit an abstract. All participants and attendees are required to register for the conference.

The Graduate College will recognize the top three research papers at this year’s conference. Students interested in participating in the research paper contest must submit a summary of their completed research paper in addition to the standard abstract by Tuesday, Oct. 1.
