The School of Art and Design and Department of Modern Languages are offering study abroad opportunities to study the Italian language June 1-June 29 in Florence, Italy.

For centuries the Tuscan capital of Florence was the undisputed center of European artistic culture. Between studies, students can explore the elegant streets and visit museums such as the Accademia where Michelangelo's famous sculpture, the David, stands. On sunny afternoons, students can browse the wonderful open-air markets and enjoy meals of Florentine soup, handmade pasta and elaborate desserts.

For students who love the outdoors, Tuscany possesses an extraordinary variety of seacoasts, mountains, rivers and plains. Take a weekend and explore one of the region's two national parks or rocky emerald coasts.
